Home Security Camera

As an incoming university freshman, I would be finally living independently in the university dormitory. However, my excitement died down when I realized that I would be sharing the room with three others.

I had never shared a room with anyone and I was not sure what kind of problems I would encounter later. I finally met my roommates and they seemed fine.

Five days afterwards, I lost my wristwatch. I did not tell them for fear that I may have simply misplaced it. I had no proof that the culprit was even among my roommates.

The following week, I lost my calculator. I would hate to blame anyone but I thought it was time to get a home security camera. My parents have installed surveillance systems back home and they worked. I had one secretly put in the room's wall clock since it covered the entire room.

We all had a surprise one night when I revealed to the girls that I have been losing things inside the room. Each one of them had things missing, too, but was just afraid to point a finger at anyone without proof.

I told them about the home security camera that I had installed in the wall clock. We all had a good laugh when each one confessed that they had also secretly hidden a home security camera somewhere. One even used a high-tech monitor after she lost her expensive mobile phone.

We viewed all the recordings from the surveillance systems and saw how the dormitory manager had been sneaking inside our room. After an arrest was made, the other residents approved to have dome cameras in the hallways.

My sister will be attending university soon, and my home security camera would be a good present for her. I would not need mine since my roommates had not deactivated theirs.
